Three designs for your new homepage

Each one is a full working homepage. The words are the same in all three, the sections are the same, and most of the photographs are the same. What changes is the look and the feel.

Open each one, scroll all the way down, and try them on your phone as well as a computer. That is where most of your customers will see the site.

The Estate

The most dramatic of the three. It opens at dusk with the light on the stone, runs a deep green through the middle, and lets you drag a slider across a photo to reveal the before and after yourself.

The Work

Photography does the talking. Bright, warm and calm, with the stone filling the page and the words kept short. The most traditional of the three.

The Straight Answer

Plain and direct. It opens with words rather than a picture, then shows the damage straight away. The closest of the three to the way you talk about the job.

How to choose

Start with the one that feels closest. That becomes the starting point for your site, and it does not have to be perfect as it stands.

Then tell me anything you would change. If you prefer the way another one handles the before and after photos, or you want a different picture at the top, say so and I will look at moving it across. Some things travel between designs easily and some are baked into how a design holds together. I will tell you which is which rather than quietly saying no.

The one thing I would steer you away from is building a fourth design out of pieces of all three. The lettering, the colours and the spacing in each one were chosen to work together, so one design as the base plus your specific changes will land better than an average of everything.

Worth knowing before you decide: the button colour changes between them. The Estate uses gold, the other two a deep blue. Whichever you land on becomes the colour of every button on the finished site, so it is part of the choice rather than a detail.

A few things are still placeholders and get finished on the real site: the Google reviews panel, the map, and a second customer testimonial.
